I really loved sharing time with these ladies, I know I mentioned in my last post about eyes, well these two fabulous women had beautiful eyes. I really enjoyed our session together and started with an idea I had a few days before I don’t know how it worked out but I’m sure everyone viewing this can give me some feedback maybe? Kirkstall Abbey seems to be getting a lot of attention from me recently when it is only 5 minutes away and you have lived somewhere for over 20 years like everything else it can at times become common place and you forget what drew you to it in the first place. I rediscovered it these past few weeks and even to the areas around it I have never been or not since I was very little. Me thinks it needs a little more exploration, hmm. Rachel and Beth really made me laugh whilst photographing their silly faces are amazing. I also got to meet Beth for the first time, such lovely lovely lasses. We talked about all sorts including hilarious times spent together. Thank you ladies for such a fabulous afternoon…we just escaped the rain. Enjoy!

Hey everyone, just a quick blog post to celebrate seasons greetings and best wishes for this Christmastime. I am so thankful for all my clients and supporters who have been with me since the very beginning. About ten years ago we purchased a new nativity set that captured the very essence of Christmas – today I saw a sunset and the lights twinkle around this very special nativity and wanted to capture it before Christmas day came. Here is my little way of saying thank you and all the best to you all for 2012. Much love, Rebecca Northcott

What a beautiful Autumnal Wedding I was able to photograph this past weekend. I have known Jonathan (aka JD) since I was a teenager and what a lovely guy he is. I took photos for him when he went to serve a mission for the church I go to (please see LDS.ORG) When he came home he met a lovely lass called Caroline, when I saw them together I could tell they were besotted and totally in love. It was so sweet and the wedding day was just further proof of how devoted they are to one another. I was really blessed to be able to share their day with them. I have lots of photos to share but here’s one sneak peak for now, enjoy!

Roxanna is so vibrant and bubbly I’m sure you have seen her on this website before maybe here and here? I had a special task today which was to photograph Roxanna for classes she will be holding at a future date – when her website is live I will link it here. I never knew she did both Ballet and Street dance I don’t think there is anything she can’t do. I am amazed by her all the time. She is THE BEST person I have worked with photographically. Thank you for working hard you looked amazing. Here are a couple previews. Enjoy!

What better way to celebrate your own wedding anniversary by taking photographs of the photographer who photographed your wedding (good luck with trying to say that fast). The lovely Rose family. Helen has been such a support for me over the years and I learned so much from her, however she hasn’t had family photographs for herself and her own little clan. I totally understand why as there seems to be only a few of myself and Mark that are professional and they are from my own wedding (Thanks Helen). So we got ourselves to Sandal Castle where Adam proposed to Helen I thought this was a wonderful place to take photos. I got that excited I nearly fell off a high bank of the castle, teehee! Their boys are such cutie pies I cant wait for them to see the whole set. For now though here are some to keep you going…

It’s always nice to challenge yourself and go somewhere completely new I also did some research and found myself a new vintage shop I am very, very excited so I hired some old cases. I had an idea in mind to go for more of a vintage feel so with that James and Shannon got a new location (Temple Newsam) some rather old cases and a new concept. I love their story, they are like myself and my husband who have met each other from overseas and have to go through the grueling Visa application. If anyone else is in that situation I know your pain. It is rubbish but If you love someone you will do anything to be with them and I could see that when they were together. I loved Shannon’s American accent her eyes sparkle like crystals, I’m not kidding. So I won’t delay any longer and show you the photos from their session. Enjoy!

Here is a sneak preview for the new Mr & Mrs Dolman – what a lovely wedding. I always get myself organised when a wedding happens its long hours but its worth every minute when I get home and download my memory sticks and I see photographs that evoke memories. It makes me so happy, I knew I had taken some fantastic shots and told them at the end, can you tell I can’t wait to show the new Bride and Groom? I even got to photograph their first Ceroc dance as a married couple. It was beautiful. All this is to come but until then here is a preview.
